Approved Maps Stuck in Prelive

Symptoms

You have approved maps in Prelive, but the new or updated maps have not appeared in Live and Sandpit. When viewing the maps in Prelive html, the new or updated maps are present.

Cause

When Maps are approved, their Visio files need to be copied to Live and Sandpit and then Live and Sandpit publishes are run to update the html pages.

However if any of the Maps are open in Live or Sandpit or the system does not have the permission to insert or overwrite files, the files will not be copied and no publish will take place.

Workaround

1. Copy the appropriate Visio files onto the Live site and run a Live Publish.
2. Copy the appropriate Visio files onto the Sandpit site, overwriting any matching files from the Sandput folder or removing any matching files in the Sandpit Backup folder, then run a Sandpit Publish.
